Default PLEASE HELP!!!

I have a 96 ex and my cooling fan is not working, i tested power at the fuse and i have power, but no fan, what could the problem be, o and i checked the relay too, there is power there as well, someone help with this as warmer weather is coming i dont want to have to worry about an overheating car. i also dont have a temp guage cause the previous owner broke the needle clear off, so if anyone has a stock guage cluster and wants to take out the temp guage that would be much appreciated!
thanks for any help with this!

Find the thermal switch it is on the thermostat housing which is at the engine end of the lower radiator hose, near the starter. Disconnect the switch and jumper the two pins in the plug leading to the car. With the jumper in place, the fan should run whenever the key is on. If it does the switch must be bad. If it doesn't, leave the jumper in and the key on and see if voltage is reaching the fan motor plug. If you have 12 volts there but the fan does not run, the motor must be bad. Those are the two most common problems.

I agree with mk378. Also, you might have a bad fan relay if you don't have 12V at the fan.

You have narrowed the problem to the coolant switch or the fan relay, or less likely the wiring. Try mk378's tests to learn more.
