Default Plug wires

Another newbie. I have a '91 civic DX hatch 1.5L 5SP. I ordered 9.3mm plug wires which seems to work great flying up and down the inerstate, but after coming to a stop if I press down on the accelerator to hard it will die and take forever to get started again. Even idleing in neutral pressing to fast on the gas will cause it to die. I have no problem with the stock 7mm wires. I first thought maybe the stock coil wasn' t hot enough so I installed my external MSD ignition coil. Still the same poblem. I also put in a new fuel filter and PCV but I haven't tried the wire since replacing those. Any Ideas?

Default RE: Plug wires

My old wires are the stock 7mm I was talking about and they are only a couple months old, and they work fine. The fuel filter and PCV replacement didn't have any effect with the 9.3mm. Something I did leave out before though is my 9.3mm are grounded. Not really sure what difference this is supposed to make but for some reason I thought it sounded like a good idea. It doesn't make a difference whether or not I actually ground them I get the same results.
