po117 need help

so i got a the damn engine code po117 - engine coolant temp circuit low input. i replaced the sensor and the switch still get the code any suggestions?

try checing the continuity of the wires leading to and from the sensor, there might be an internal break in the wires

which sensor? you have like 3 coolant temp sensors.

What year and engine type Civic do you have?

The picture shows only one ECT sensor for 1996-1998 Civics.

yea, its a 97' civic ex 5-speed.

Now look for an electrical short in the wire between the ECT and ECM/PCM (see picture).
