Default possible short ????? help!!!

so the other day i was driving home and realized my light were on but the dash wasnt lit up. once i got home the tail lights werent working. hmmmm had this problem before fixed it by puting in a new lightbulb and a new 15a fuse instead of a 10a. so since i dont want to set my car on fire what do you guys think. do i have a short, is this common (second civic i've owned and had same prob on old civic), i would appreciate the input. oh its a 95 civic hatch and all the conectors look brand new front and rear.

i really dont wanna pull the interior just to track wires down

Check for a blown fuse 19 (10A) under the dash.

Don't put a larger fuse in. This circuit also goes to the radio to light up the dial on a stock radio. If it's been replaced with aftermarket you may have a shorted wire behind the radio.
