Okay I have a 2002 Civic lx 2-dr and the drivers side door lock won't lock by the inside button or with the alarm only unless I lock it with a key from the outside (obviously). I have no problems with the passenger side, just the drivers. Please help!

 

Factory actuator is bad. Check out the stealership or a recycler for a new one

 

I just started having the same problem with my 98 EX. There has been alot of rain as of late. Could it just be getting wet and malfunctioning??? It has done this once or twice a few months ago. It would not work when I would get in and then after a two minute trip it would work fine for another month or so. Any idea if water could be causing this?

 

I am having the same exact problem. I took the door apart as well to try and spray some wd 40 in there but nothing changed. I am going to let my mechanic look at it because it seems like a big job.

 

I had the same happen with my '96 EX passenger door, I just took out the actuator and popped it open and it was dry, I just put a little dab of grease on all moving parts. Now it work as good as when it was new lol
