i have a 99 si, all power of course. when i hit my power lock switch, the locks like half way lock, but then a fuse blows, and after that the locks and sunroof dont work ( i know, i know, thye are on the same fuse) but my question is, why would the fuse blow when i hit the locks.... it doenst happen with the sun roof, and i dont know how to fix this...

 

Sounds like you might have a wire that has been stripped of insulation somewhere in the power locks system rubbing against some metal, or maybe a ground wire has a break in the insulation which is rubbing against a hot wire with a break in the insulation, or a ground wire to the power locks has completely broken.

Maybe in the door jam the wires are getting pinched and as a result the insulation on the wire is stripped and/or the ground wire to one of the power locks is broken?

 

that would make since becuause they guy who had the car before me did something with the stock door lock and just jumbled everything up, he shaved the doors...i got new ones, but when i changed um out i noticed some wires exposed and i wrapped them, maybe there are more somewhere like that, i just need to try to find um

 

Does the fuse blow when you try to lock the doors with the driver's lock **** switch and driver's door switch?
