Default power, i want more

i need more power from my car, what are your oppinions on the next step i should take. i already have: catback system, short ram intake, and new cap rotor plugs , 9mm wires, and i keep it tuned all the time, icant stand misfiring or pinging. would a high flow cat help much? and does it add to the db level of the exhaust (some pr*ck stole my silencer). since i installed the 5-spd trnny i can hit 90 with no problem just dont get there quite quick enough, and while i'm at it how do you get your pic to your sig
thanks; jonathan

Possibly cold cold air intake and maybe a header. This would help it breath easier. Highflow cat would help and aren't silencers cheap?check a local muffler shop. A high flow resonator would keep cabin and outside noise down but MAY impair performance. Not to noticably.
Corey that was useful. Where is your advise?

that was useful info.. if you have a shop port and polish your engine your definetly gonna feel gains. [sm=smiley14.gif]

i dont think he should get a cai cause hes already spent money on the short ram.

personally if i were you, my next moves would be to have someone chip the ecu or buy a chipped ecu, a good header, intake manifold, and start working on the internals (cams pistons ect).

o.. also think about a shortshifter if you dont have one.. they make a differnece in a race.

of course if you wanted to go fast with out having to buy a hell of a lot of NA parts you could always turbo it.

turbo on my xmas wish list, unless somebody has the parts for a good price? i like the idea of header and port and polish and chiping, which will still be beneficial if i did go turbo or s.c. do you know , is installing the chip dificult? i've seen them on line. but, have heard good and bad, recomendations on manufacturers?

forget the bolt-ons, for a real noticeable boost, look into a mini-me head swap. thats the best gain for your money, and then the bolt-ons will give you even more power than they would with the stock non-VTECer.

that is definately do-able. if mine is an '88do you happen to know exactly what engine i should get a head from? or is there one that is better than another? and probably most important... anybody have a diy on this? do you want me to do one with pics? that would be no problem.. i'll call my freind at the salvage yard as soon as he opens and start getting the parts together today.... i'm looking forward to this..(i feel like a kid in a candy store on a shopping spree
