Default Power outlet not working

My dash power outlet is not working. I checked the fuse marked "power outlet/cigarrette lighter" in the fuse box and it was fine. I also pulled apart the dash and checked out the wiring with no visible problems.

Anyone have any ideas?

replace the fuse anyway! noticed a few cars lately in my place, blowing fuses, where the customer uses a phone kit throught the outlet - fuse might be blown, but still making intermittent contact
check voltage with a volt-meter across 2 connectors going into outlet - if it shows 12v, check voltage at contacts in outlet, probably just a bit of corrosion - get a screwdriver and clean off contacts.

ya but before ya try scraping the inside plug pull the fuse.LMFAO

could just be a old smoker with all kinds of ash on the middle contact point!
wet a paper towel and use something to rub it around on it and scrap it clean.

dam smokers.LMFAO
every car i get is all burned up from smokers

I put a multi meter to it and nothing. I think I'm just going to jumper in another ignition hot circuit to it.

Thanks everyone.
