My car's been back from the shop for a few weeks now and it's been driving great. However, now when I stop at a redlight/stopsign or whatever, I can hear the power steering making a whining noise when I turn the wheel. It's not as loud as it was after the accident, but it's definatly a similar sound. I'm just wondering if I'm going to cause my car any serious damage by driving it with this problem.

 

If the car was in the shop to repair the power steering pump, then I recommend you return it to the shop and ask why the problem wasn't solved. In the meantime, make sure the fluid level is full and that the belt is tight and not contaminated with oil. Also, is your idle speed set to specification?
