Default 02 civic starting to burn oil

just checked all my fluids last night and found that the car has started burning oil somewhat. im suspecting that it burnt 1qt from nov-jan which isn't much but it will become bigger. car has 119K mi... 90% highway miles

im going to be replacing the timing belt this summer and was wondering if changing the valve seals would fix this but it could be the rings as well. or there might be somthing else i could try

thanks

Could the engine possibly be leaking oil rather than burning it?

no leaks under the car, everything have been checked and is dry.

im going to do a leak down test and check the spark plugs this weekend to see if there is any oil in the plug holes.
