Default Powerwindows

alrite. the civic i just bought has a few problems that i wanted to address immediately. the first was the speaker which i fixed wit the help of this forum. now another problem with my car is the power windows. ive seen some similar scenario with other ppl by using the search option and the solution was always the fuse. now i checked my fuse and there are no problems but my windows still wont budge. theres no sound or anything coming from the window, i just push it and it doesnt react. wat could be my problem?

What year and model Civic do you have?

In 96-98 Civics, there is a power window relay located in the under-dash fuse/relay box (see picture). Perhaps the relay is bad.

The picture describes how to test the power window relay. You may need a basic multimeter to perform the electrical tests.

If you relay is fine more likely your main switch control on your door went bad.[&:]That switch control all your windows

If you look at the first picture, the main control is coupled with the driver's window control switch in the arm rest. If the power window relay turns out not to be defective, I will also post the procedure for electrical testing of the main control unit, if you tell me whether you have a sedan versus coupe/hatchback.
