Sounds like you could have lost the ground. Pretty sure one of the outside wires should be grounded. The TPS is the same as the MAP, power (5V), signal, and ground, and on the TPS the outside wires are definitely 5v and ground so you could check there. I think everything ECU-related grounds to the engine via the wires on the thermostat housing.

Should i undo the ground nut it looks like there are two sets of wires to these grounds, then put it back? At the worse we cut the ends and re-solder the ends?

With a multi meter is there a way to find out if a ground is bad?? At the point of the Ground?

Yes, the ground wire should have continuity with a ground source such as the engine or body frame.

By the way, here's how to test voltages at the MAP sensor connector:

1) Remove the 3P connector from the MAP sensor.
2) Turn ignition key to ON (II).
3) The connector has 3 terminals: right, middle, left
The right and left terminal supply 5V of power whereas the middle terminal serves as the ground.
4) Thus, if you touch the multimeter positive probe to either the left or right terminal and the negative probe to the middle terminal, then the multimeter should read 5V.

Unhappy So had a little time to mess with this again..

I made sure i have ground to the two big ground wires from the tranny(?) then the one on the valve cover... I have ground at the two sets of wires at the themo housing. So now I went back the the drawing board here boys..... I went back to step on checked spark again.. I have now lost spark again... This is when I invited a friend over lol.. (Moral support) Had a drink thought about this... So here is what i know...

1. I can jump the Main Relay harness connection and get 12 volt to fuel pump works like a champ its brand new..
2. Tested Main relay works like a champ three total click and continuity where it should be.
3. Battery is brand new, I have ground at every point in the front end "motor bay" where I think there should be...
4. I can remove both the ECU and the Backup to the ECU and try to start the car and get the same results. "Thus in my opinion makes me think maybe the fuse box it self has lost ground checking that today.."
5. I do not get 5v to MAP sensor on the two prongs voltage is in the 2-4 range.

My only other options in my mind right now are the following. (Please if you know how to prove these out let me know before i buy them too lol..)

1. ECU same thing happens when this box has power or doesn't via pulling the fuses.
2. Fuse box.
3. Ignition switch??

Thanks for reading all this crap... Maybe sometime i can help some with a solution to this problem as of now it feels like i am restoring this car to new...

Cool Quick one

When I go from the center pin on the 3 prong connection for the MAP sensor to my battery ground I get voltage across the multi meter. I am about to call Honda for a price on the ECU, then the ignition switch. Or maybe i might start parting this car out and buy a new car. The wife wants her car back.

More info..

Before this car would start from time to time. Now I sat down one night and just kept snapping the ignition to the first click then back and listened for the fuel pump. I did this about 8 times then nothing did it again 3 or 4 more times and I heard the pump maybe once out of the four times. Snapped the ignition again maybe 10 times and now i never hear the pump come on. Again I have no spark... Could i have finally wore out my ignition switch and thats been my problem all along????

There should be voltage on the center wire of the MAP I think. One of the outside ones is the ground. You should have zero volts, 5 volts, and something in between respectively from each of the three wires to ground.

The red oil and battery lights on the dash should be on whenever the key is on but engine not turning. If not the ignition circuit is not powering up.
