problems starting
i have a 89 hona civic hatch 1.5 4speed manual. the problem i have is that sometimes the car will not start. i will be driving then stop at the store and shut it off. i get back and it wont start. ill wait like 10 minutes (sometimes less sometimes more) and the it will start up. any ideas on what the problem is. other than that the car runs great. any help is appreciated

have you checked you electrical connections? battery cables, wires going to the starter.
i had the same problem, and it turned out to be a lose battery cable. well actually the terminal was cracked.

Left side of the dash, underneath, around the area of the hood release. It should be a black *** with a fairly large plug going into one side of it (about 8 wires).

Here's how to fix it.
OK, if you hold the relay with the wire side to you, with the plug release facing down, they will be the two wires furthest to your right in the top row. Get a short piece of wire and a couple crimp-on spade connectors, and bridge those puppies together... should take care of it.
