Hi guys..
i have a 1996 Honda Civic 1.5iLs Vtec - saloon
The steering keeps pulling to the left. i have had tracking done..and even got the balancing checked. ive been told that honda civics do not need 4 wheel alignment, just the front two..is this true? one mechanic even suggested my steering rack may be on its way out...?im confused :S..any help/advice is much appreciated.

 

I don't know. Sometimes my car will want to pull to the left on acceleration from a stop, but I think it's just the roads because it doesn't do it all the time. I have a 2000 civic btw.

 

Well, i know that when i get an alignment i get all 4 wheels aligned.

 

yeah ive gotten my 4 wheels aligned. Also did you check your tire pressure?

 

+1 for check the pressure in all 4 tires. Also it could be a bad tire. Switch the front tires left for right and see if it starts tending to the right instead.

 

ye, ive switched tyres - same thing. Ive checked tyre pressure, still the same. Ill try four wheel alignment...fingers crossed!btw, i was told that civics only need 2 wheel alignment by KwikFit...!
