Default Radiator Hose

Just a noob question but is your radiator hose soppused to get kinda flat after you have drove the car? I popped my hood after I parked it and the radiator hose looked like it had kinda sucked itself in. It's a 1994 Honda Civic LX

If the coolant in the radiator is low (it should be absolutely full to the top), yet there is coolant in the plastic tank, replace the radiator cap. The radiator cap has valves in it to control the flow between the two. Leaks in the hose between the tank and radiator will also cause this.

if the radiator hose is kinda flattened out. bend the hose around and see if it looks dry or cracked... if so replace the hose. and with the new hose you might have to trim it down alittle so it doesnt crush or flatten out. i know on my 96dx the new radiator hose was to long so it was pinching the hose. i simply cut it down alittle and it doesnt pinch anymore around the bend for the upper hose.
the lower one i had no problem with.
