Radiator issue?
So the other night my radiator got a hole in itin front of my house. i put it in the driveway while it the anti freeze was still leaking from it. so i put a new radiator and thermostat in, and now the car runs hot and, when ever the engine gets warm it starts to rev up by itself and wont stop until i turn the car off any clue as to what going on?-93 civic Dx
Does the radiator fan turn ON when the engine is hot? If so, you probably just have some air still trapped in the cooling system. The remedy is to bleed the system. Start at step 8 in the picture:
By the way, the radiator fan should only turn ON when the engine is hot. If it doesn't, then check whether fuse 13 or 33 is blown.
If the fuses are fine, then you may have a bad coolant temperature switch (on thermostat housing), a bad fan relay (under-hood fuse/relay box), or a disconnected ground wire for the fan motor or temperature switch.
Regardless of the fan problem, you should also bleed the cooling system. This should solve the idle problem, and also possibly the overheating problem.

if the radiator did'nt sit right would that keep the antifreeze from running properly thru the system?

If you're sure the system is full could be a bad thermostat (yes it is new, but that doesn't mean it's necessarily good) or thermostat installed improperly.
Unplug the fan switch (on thermostat housing) and jumper the wires in the plug. Fan should now run all the time the key is on. If it still overheats with the fan running all the time, it's something other than the fan.
