Rattling A/C Compressor?
Spin the pulleys by hand to see which one is noisy. It could just be the idler pulley.
You can change the clutch (with bearing) while the compressor is on the car. It will probably be necessary to unbolt it and lower it down but leave the refrigerant hoses attached. That way you will not need to remove and recharge the refrigerant, and possibly contaminate the refrigerant system.

If replacing the rotor pulley can be done without great difficulty while the refrigerant lines remain connected, then mk378's suggestion would save you considerable time and effort.
Heat the new pulley/bearing assembly to 250 Fahrenheit (absolutely no hotter) in an oven. This will expand the bore of the bearing so it should practically drop onto the front of the compressor. Have a rubber hammer handy to finish the job before it cools if necessary.
