I have 2000 Honda civic lx (auto). ive been hearing a faint rattling sound when im in a low gear. the sound doesn't happen all the time nor dose it only occur when turning. i just notice it from time to time. i think its the transition but im not sure. what do u think it could be? and how could i go about fixing this?

 

pop your bonnet, let it idle, then check your exhaust heat shield that's located on top of your exhaust manifold. if it is rattling or loose, then that could be the source of your problem. if not, then let us know around what area the sound is coming from.
