Default Rear Wiper Arm Nut

Hi,

Thanks to someone ripping off my rear wiper arm I have had to buy a new one. Now, the nut seems to be corroded on, and I have given it a spray, but is this nut on a normal or reverse thread? Just so I don't damage anything.

Thanks in advance,

OK, nut removed after lots of spraying and leaning on a spanner. Now what is left is the broken piece of wiper arm, which seems to be rusted onto the wiper spindle. Does anyone know of a safe and effective way of removing the old wiper arm?
The new one has no thread, so the old one should just pull off, but it seems to be fused on. I have been spraying it now for over a week, but it seems to be stuck. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

a small gear puller would work great. Short of that, have a friend pull on it while you lightly tap the bolt with a big screwdriver handle or softface hammer. It should pop right off.
