Default Removing back corner interior trim, civic 2 door

I am needing to install an after market window defogger in a two door, 95 civic. It will be a cleaner install if I can remove the top back corner trim panels. (The ones where the top of the seat belts mount.) I was able to free the tops, but not the bottoms. I did not want to force them for fear of damaging the panels. Any help will be appreciated.
