Default replaced head gasket now my car wont start

i have an 88 hatch with a 95 D15B7 in it. the head gasket blew out on me the other day so i replaced it and was sure to put everything back together perfectly. i have my timing set right and im getting fuel and spark but my engine wont fire up. it just keeps trying to fire but wont. any ideas as to how to solve this? i miss my car lol

Do you have an OBDI ECU? If so, can you retrieve any trouble codes from the ECU?

Have you checked the compression in the cylinders?

Try to find out what ECU you have because then you might be able to retrieve informative trouble codes.
