Default Replacment trunklid

I am getting some body work done by my cousin (rear fenders are rusting out, big surprise ) and I also noticed that the one corner of the trunk lid/deck lid is rust right through. My cousin said it would most likely be cheaper to just get a new lid from a junkyard.

MY car is a 1997 Honda civic EX (CA) 4 door. looking online at local yard's listings I have found a deck lid for a 1998 4 door, and that's it. I plan to go out and look later but before I do I want to get armed with knowledge.

Aside from a 1997, what other year's deck lid's will fit my car?

96-98 4-door trunk lids

they're pretty distinct from the other trunk lids, they have funny shaped taillights compared to other civics
i'd just take a picture of the back of your car, and take it with you just in case. If it looks identical to the picture, it will fit.

Ok, I was pretty sure the the taillights are a unique feature, just wanted to make sure so I didn't waste my money.

thanks trust
