Default reprogram the car with new remote

I bought remote from here and I am trying to program the car to accept the new remote but it will not work.

I still have the old remote and it works but the part that attaches to the keychain is broken so that is why I bought a new remote.

I found this but it did not work maybe because it is for 2001 and my is 1996.

Any idea?

Do you still have the stock radio?

Yes, I have the stock radio.

It was hard to find the instructionbecasue most of the instructions were for newer cars.

Thanks. I think this should be in DIY.
