Default Rev problems

For some reason my Civic 95 EX V-tec car it wont rev past 6k which forces me to shift. I am trying to figure out why this is. My engine supposedly has about 110k miles and i used to have a 93 si and it went happily to 7250.
car details:
1. it dose the same in neutral
2. it runs the same miles per gear come pared to other same models
3. exept for 3rd i get an ave. of 95-98 mph at 6k rpms
4. i bout the car like that
5. ive notice it has a replacement ignition (adapted)
6. its a stock car heder only
7. Timing is ok
8. speed and acceleration ok
9. no smoke
