just solved one of these on another forum.
check the fuse first.
there is a switch for that (if the same for the dodge truck that was posted about).
check the parts store (online) for a switch

Its a manual.
i just bought the car about 2 months ago, and i only checked all the lights a month ago, thats when i realised they were not working.
im not sure when they stopped working!
does that help you come up with any ideas???
cheers

well, YES - very much so.
This is what happened to me working on a friend's mustang.
See he had someone else working on it, and that other person did things to it that i did not know about. what he did was remove a fuse and not put it back in.
well, OK i am a dumb-dumb. did not look at the fuse diagram in the owners manual (did not have it and the person that owned the car was not available). the perosn remembered it after about 6 hours of fooling around by me. ( a lot to write and even more to read). so all the fuses were good but one was missing.
1) check that all fuses are there.
this is how i solved one a couple of day's ago for a lady. the question of manual or auto is not an important one since the link goes to all of them (but not for sure if this will link, but you can go thru the web pages to find it - and no idea if advance is in your area):
http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductL...fBackup+Switch
of course, check out the switch before you replace it to make sure you do not replace a part that is not defective - cannot return electonics parts)
Hope this helps,
fred

the switch is located on the tranny it has 2 wires going to it both green/black...actually 1 starts as yellow and turns green /black at connector
first off chk fuse # 15,, 10 amps under dash fuse box
Put key on, car in reverse, disconnect the switch and jump those wires together with a paper clip .. if reverse lite come on you got a bad switch..if not you got an issue with the wiring
get a teast lite and see if you get power to 1 of the wires at switch.. if you do than problem is from there to rear of car ,,
if no power at either wire than problem is from fuse box to connector at switch
let us know the results
