Default seat replacement?

Hi guys, I got a question regarding seat replacement on a 07 civic. I am trying to put in a racing seat for my civic, but i was wondering what could be done about the seat belt sensor. Since the racing seat has a 5pt seat belt, i won't be using the standard belt that came with the car. But the civic has a seat belt sensor that beeps after about a minute when the driver or passange doesn't bucket up. Is there anyways to bypass that system or somehow modify it to fit on the 5pt seat belt? Thanks in advance.

If you just disconnect the plug under the seat...The seatbelt sensor on your cluster wont come on because it wont be sending a signal to the seat..[&:]

be careful about that in some cars if u disconnect the seat belt sensor you could possibly disarm the air bags u might want to check into that just tryin to give u a heads up

I heard also that some cars have some sort of a little adapter you can put on them somehow, the ones with the SRS running to the seats, and it will disable the seatbelt warning, but i have never seen one in action, so that might be hearsay.

i found the wires and all... was going to disconnect it but decided to hold it off til the weekends since i still need the car to get to work. prob isn't a good idea to mess with it during the week. so now i'll prob head down the dealership and ask them how to deal with the seat belt sensors if i want a new seat since i can't find anything about it online.

yea... i just check with the dealer. they said that if i unplug the wires i'll turn off the belt sensor, but i'll also screw up my airbags. now i gotta think of a way around the air bag thing.
