Default Self-locking nuts

I know this is a random question but I always see this in the service manual. For nuts that do not hold anything too critical, I usually re-use the factory parts. However, should I be replacing them with new self-locking nuts?

If so, where can I buy them?

Thanks!

Default RE: Self-locking nuts

If its not critical, I usually re-use them myself. Also I like to use a thread sealer like Loctite (I think Permatex makes it also) which essentially glues the nut on so it won't loosen. They have different strengths of this stuff so don't get the permanent hard stuff unless you think its "permanent".

Where to get 'em? A nut & bolt supply (obviously) or some car part stores stock them.
