Serious problem with 94 DX (crank, no start)

Strange, because I could hear the fuel pump prime when I turned the key on and the cel went off after the usual 2 seconds. Maybe the car was just trying to test my skills of deduction.

I reread your thread and I guess the thermostat ground may have had higher than normal resistance yet allowed reduced current flow. That may explain the problem. If so, I had never heard of that happening. Live and learn.
