is that really a hole in the muffler it is 19 years old

 

if it has a hole how do i fix it?

 

....Wouldnt you be able to tell if it is a hole or not..?

if it is then just go to your local junk yard and get one, they are like less than 20 bucks.
or get an aftermarket one.?

 

i cant tell it doesnt sound ringy or anything

The starter sounds perfect. Exactly like the one on my 91 DX. The rest of the car has a few issues. Stock exhaust should not sound like that, clearly there is a hole somewhere. I'd also check that "whirring" sound from the engine, it could be the timing belt tensioner or water pump going bad.

 

1: its not a real si, just a si sticker and maybe a motor, you have no sunroof and no si cluster and you have no a/c the si came with a/c and no digital clock in the a/c vent. so you have a dx
2: sounds like you are missing a cat or/and hole in the muffler box.
