SHIFT BOOT
This is surprisingly involved for something so simple, but you need to remove the shift **** by pulling down on the plastic piece right below the shift ****, then unscrew the shift ****, set the shift **** aside. Then remove the center console, two screws on the bottom back part, then you need to open the lil compartment next to the ebrake, slide two finger under the top of it and pop it up, below that will be two more screws. There are also two plastic scew type things at the front of the console, twist and pull those out, then lift the entire console out of the car. Turn the console over and you will see a screw into a grey piece of plastic, remove it and get a flat head screwdriver to push the the grey piece out, but your shift boot itself is stapled into the plastic. Once the center console is removed the shifter will be exposed, there are 4 bolts holding in place at each of its four corners. be sure to remove the cable before you attmept to remove the shifter. I recommend Revo Technica SS as it is the whole shifter and not an adapter, ~40-50% reduction in shift throw. Costs about 99ish bucks. Also recommend aluminum bushing for the shifter (Corsport sells a nice set for about 25).
