I am installing a short shifter an i dont know which direction the curvy part goes. Does it curve forwards or backwards?

I'f I'm not mistaken, the top bend should point toward the back of the car. Mine was a straight piece though, so I dont really know for sure

 

you could do it either way, but the bend should make the top sit farther back to reach it easier.

i take a few more "after" pics. Btw how do lots a ppl have their car in cartoon in their sig like you?

 

the cartoon sig i copied it from a site, the car was white. i opened it in ms paint and changed the color pixel by pixel. there is a huge thread on doing it. just search for it. but yeah my dx looked stock, but had a z6 swap and obd1 conversion.
