Default slight axle leak? anyone know how to fix?

ive replaced both axle seals on my 5speed tranny and it still seems to be leaking from one side of the axle. im preaty sure the seal is even and it was brand new and put it evenly.....

i dont see why its still leaking. its not leaking it to much BUT thier is still a film coming down the tranny when im under the car....

is thier any kinda tips to help seal the axles completly?
ive thought about geting some thick hightemp grease and plastering the seal front and back before puting the seal in.....
i know its leaking and worst thing is i got NO IDEA how low it is.... cause thiers no quick fluid dip stick...
and i dont know what the symptoms are if the fluid gets to low...
ive been thinking of some road trips and i sure as hell dont want to run low on tranny fluid while on the long road trip away from home.....

id suggest changing that 1 seal again could have been defective.

Like a good friend in the parts-biz always tells me, "New doesn't necessarily mean Good."

It's pretty easy to damage seals putting them in. You need to be real careful to only press on the very outside edge, and do it perfectly evenly. Also the sealing surface on the axle could be damaged.

Also I think those seals are different for left and right, and it does make a difference. The arrow on the seal should point the way the shaft normally rotates with the car moving forward.

well the two seals are different sizes so no way to mix them up

im thinking of maybe pulling those seals off and using some hightemp silicone all around the outter edge and using thick grease all around the input shaft and HOPEFULLY it wont leak anymore...... have to wait for dealership to open tho not sure about thier holiday hours...
