Default Small electrical issue

I have '93 civic HB and last week an electrical problem started up with my driver's side signal light.

When I turn on my lights the signal light comes on and stays on (it will not flash) on the driver's side; however, the passenger side signal light works as usual.

When my lights are off, the signal light functions as normal except that my console light and the lights for the ventilation buttons flash with the signal light. But not with the passenger side signal light.

Is it possible that there are some wires touching somehwere? And if so, where can I look?

It's possible that there's a wire crossed somewhere, but I think it's more likely that your turn signal relay is going out.

I think you may have a faulty combination switch. Here's how to troubleshoot:

So here's the thing, yesterday I replaced the combination switch and it still does the same thing. Now that option is eliminated; any other causes it might be beforei start following all the wires? I'm not convinced that it's the relay cause I would think that I would be having problems with both turn lights if that was the case, and my instrument cluster would not be affected either.

This is caused by a bad ground near one of the lights, either the front corner light or in the trunk. What is happening is that the turn signal circuit is returning thru the tail light circuit instead of going to ground.

When you turn the signal on, the light that has a good ground will light up bright. The one that doesn't will light up dim or not at all. You can also take the turn signal bulbs out one at a time and see when the interaction with the panel lights stops.

Try to return the new combination switch for a refund as soon as possible.

I tried. The best I got was a store credit. Not a total loss.

And it turns out it was a grounding issue with the driver's side signal light. Thanks to everyone for the help.

You might consider using the store credit to invest in the purchase of a multimeter, which could have be used to show that the original combination switch was fine (expected continuity test results; see diagram of my first post), thereby avoiding an unnecessary purchase.
