15mph- HC: MAX-66 ;Meas-71 CO:MAX-0.57 ; Meas-0.64

NO:MAX-487 Meas-471

25mph-HC: MAX-49 ; MEAS-66 CO:MAX-0.55 MEAS-0.76 NO:MAX-774 MEAS-458


After the test I bought new dist. cap, dist. rotor, spark plug wires, spark plugs.

I plan to test again soon, anymore suggestions?

 

We don't do emissions testing here so I dont know what any of those numbers mean. Did they tell you specifically why you failed? Are you getting any CEL's, and if so have you pulled the codes?

 

Nope. I'm not throwing any CEL's. I shoould also mention, I'm from the Peoples Republic of California.

 

Clean out your EGR system, if you have one. I don't know if the California versions did.

High HC and CO typically means running rich, check the fuel pressure. But a rich mixture will drive down NO. Since 15 mph NO is also up close to the limit it could be that your catalytic converter is tired.
