Default smoking problem

I just put in a d16z6 into my 93 dx coupe and its smoking when i hit the gas. I have given it a rough tune and needs a further tune.It starts up smoking alot but then it calms down when the car warms up and it only smokes when i hit the gas hard. The smoke is a really thick white smoke. What could be the problem?

White smoke is usually coolant. See if it smells like antifreeze. Heavy white "smoke" is the classic symptom of a blown head gasket but it could also be the intake manifold gasket or one of the other parts on the intake that has coolant run to it.

well whn ya punch the gas pedal the engine runs alot faster which inturns has alot more coolant fluid burning... when ya drive it slow the less it burns.. BUT i asure ya its still burnen coolant even if you cannt see the white smoke....

keep an eye on your radiator fluid levels and get that fixed ASAP!
also might wanna change your oil ASAP!!!! if you see radiator fluid in the oil.... PARK THE CAR!!!!!! or else youll trash the bearings and preaty much the whole motor!!!!!!!

I put it in the shop today,..damn im tired of messin with it. I have a bad feeling that its the block thats bad because I have a new head gasket put on with a new surfaced head. Torqued the bolts down correctly and it still burns like a champ! Anyone have a clue as to how much a shop would charge to install a new block and head gasket?
