Smoking Honda
My daughter has a 93 Civic Cx with 300km on it. The car runs extreamly well, pulls on the highway better that my 05 Civic but it has started to smoke really bad. It is not modified in any way. Could this be a oil seal problem, or is it a "engine rebuild" thing. As great as the car runs and pulls, I'm thinking and hoping it can't be that serious. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

RE: Smoking Honda
i pretty sure it would be a blow head gaskit, has it started over heating or getting hotter?, i had a blow head gaskit in my old car, it was start to smoke, then start to almost over heat (mine never did but got close), then start to jidder and such, then just get to bad to drive, oh ya..check the coolent too to see if its gone down, if its blown your going to start added alot to keep it topped up, i had to add almost 4L ever 2 days...depending how long its been like that i would get it fixed right away before coolent gets into the oil (then your really screwed) and mabey the head might still be fine, because from the heat it will start to warp

RE: Smoking Honda
yeah if you are shooting out blue smoke. then your seals are gone and ur rings are cracked and it is leaking oil into pistons ans the combustion chamber and then it is coming out ur exhzust b/c it cannot burn it off correctly and it can foul up ur O2's and your cat so get dat fixxed

if its blue smoke you're burning oil and your rings are gone. open the oil cap if a bunch of smoke pours out.... rings.
