Before I start, I just wanted to mention I'm not car savvy (probably the complete opposite), so I want to apologize in advance if my lack of knowledge frustrates you.

Here's the problem I discovered about one week ago:

I randomly (during acceleration, braking, shifting, riding over bumps, reversing, 5 mph and even on the high way at 60-70 mph) hear a noise coming from the rear passenger side of my 2006 Civic EX (manual transmission) that sounds like an aerosol can being sprayed (or slightly like metal chain links being dragged on the ground).

There doesn't seem to be any external damage, and I'm not sure what to look for (internal wise). If anybody has any idea, or hypothesis of what might be causing this noise before I visit a shop later this week, please share. Thanks for any help in advance.
