just replaced the speedo, still not working. removed all broken peices from it..still getting code 17 VSS (vehical speed sensor)..****ing help.

 

did you replace the actual sensor at the tranny?

 

yeah. im thinking its the wiring, im gonna get the whole pigtail section from another civic at a junkyard and solder the wires to the one i have and see if it works...

how much would this cost just to go get it fixed at the honda dealership, id rather not do this myself, me and wiring dont normally mix...

check the grounds in that area. they get bad after awhile, and people seldom change them out.

 

ill check all that, but yeah how much would that cost just to go get it fixed if i cant figure it out, cause i only have about a week and a half left before i HAVE to have it fixed. i got a ticket and they gave me 30 days to get the broken partfixed or i gotta pay the ticket.
