Default speedo cal

Ok, I'm driving and turn on my gps for the first time and the speedo says i'm going 5mph faster than the gps does....is there a way to adjust this, I have stock tires and wheels, they are 185-60-14s,
I also compared to my wifes hhr while driving and she still said we were going 5mpg slower than what mine was showing...
Just looking to see if there is a way to calib this or do I need a new speedo gear

I'm not such a fan, it throws off my mpg calculations, towards the not so good side, that's my main issue, oh well I guess there's not too much that can be done other than get a bigger tire or change the speedo gear out
