My 2005 honda Civic has a speedometer that works intermittently. I can be driving along at 60 mph and the speedometer moves down to 20 and then up to 40 and then up to 70 and bounces all over the place. There are other days where it works fine without any problems. I took my car to a dealer and they told me my instrument cluster is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced. This will cost $530 and if I want the odometer reset to my actual mileage, that will cost an additional $208.

I am now researching to see if I can find a used cluster on Ebay or get mine fixed.
