Hi i have a 96 dx coupe with the 1.6LNVTEC and i just bought a brand new VSS put it in and my speedo is still not working I NEED HELP !!!!! it was 136 dollar waste

 

Can you return it?
Did you plug it all in correctly? with the metal rod in there and spring and everything?

Should of gone with my first advice lol.
REPLACE the SPEEDOMETER, and if that didnt work return it to your local wrecking yard. It cost me 14 bucks for my speedometer when i had to replace mine.

 

yeah i already installed it so im pretty sure i cant return it??

 

it came in one whole piece with the plug part on top

i would give returning it a shot.

but the tripmetor and odometer dont work either???

 

also its got the dash from ex with the tac but the tac and other gauge work but the speedometer

 

Nice at least you got the money back from the VSS.
If it were me, i would go to the junk yard and grab a new speedometer. (just the speedometer part, not the whole cluster!)

Did the speedometer work before you got the EX cluster put in?

 

Is the CEL on? Have you ruled out the fuse 15 problem (check for power on the black and yellow wire at the sensor)? I guess this would have been answered in your other thread about the same problem but I'm not going to look for it.
