Default Speedo Stopped Working - Not a civic but a honda - '97 Accord 4cyl Manual Trans

Any body familiar witha 1997 honda accord 4door , 4cyl, manual trans?

My speedo just stopped working.

Is there a fuse associated to the speedo circuit?

Is there a speed sensor on the tranny similar to what the 1994 civic has?

Help please.

Not sure when they went digital, but my wife's 93 delsol and my 97 accord both have a silly little sensor on the tranny. a silly little pin spins inside this sensor and that informationis sent through wires to the speedo (in directly I'm sure).

I found the little booger under a bunch of hoses and wires on the tranny.

I only recognized the part because it is the same part for a 93 delsol as Accord. My civic/delsol repair manual had a picture of one, the Accord manual did not, nor mentioned anything about it.

Doesn't appear to be any fuses associated to the speedometer.

Thankfully the old speed sensor from the wife's car worked (in her case I bought a new sensor but didn't fix the problem...a used instrument cluster did)
