I need a new speedometer cable for my 1993 honda civic, it automatic and it has 1.5..but i cant find one anywhere..does anyone know where I can find one!?

 

i have never seen one for sale, you will probably have to go to the dealership

 

Try a local salvage yard.

 

does the engine type or size matter on the type of speedometer cable? for example, can the cable be a cable from a 92 honda civic dx when the its for a 93 honda civic lx?

 

you can double check this by going to http://www.bernardiparts.com/SearchOptions.aspxand punching in the two different years and make and see if the part #s are the same. If they are then, you are good to go.

 

The USA 93 models will all have an electronic speedometer. There is no cable.

If you have a mechanical cable-type speedometer the cables are all about the same. Try one from a '91, that is the last year they used mechanical cables in the USDM.
