This happend to me, I couldn't figure it out myself, so I had to take it to a shop. First they tried the speed sensor, nope. Then, the nylon gear connected to the speed sensor, errrr wrong. Next they tried the gauge bezel, ding ding ding. They said that everysingle one of those parts went bad. I called bs and they only made pay for the sensor and gear. That's why I don't take me car into shops anymore.

well im pretty sure it is the speed sensor because when the mph arm would drop it would make a weird clunk in the tranny or engine and then again when it went above or evened out ....... so its got to be a sensor !!!!

Whati need to know is where is the speed sensor so i can replace !!!!!

It sounds like they were trying to screw u !!!!! I do all my own work , i can screw it up myself LOL

ya open your hood look down on top of your trans, youll need a wrench to remove it, they typically just go out, my girls speedo did it once, we were going down the interstart like 75 mph, the the neddles shot to like 130 lol, like a hit some pretend NOS....lol
and more then likey youll have to replace it

It's circled. For reference, the left side of the pic is the side closest to the windshield and the right side is closest to the front bumper.
