my SR5 light turned on a week ago or so...does anyone know why it could be on? it was never on before...i dont think its supposed to be on....

u mean your SRS? light? if so thats for your airbags. That means they aren't going to work.

As mentioned, the SRS light indicates a problem with the airbag system. Did you recently do any work on your car that may have triggered the light to turn ON? What year Civic do you own?

To get it turned off, get it fixed. Airbag saves life. If you removed the airbagthen just remove the gauges and remove the light bulb.

mine turned on for no reason too. i think it was a low voltage problem. had heater,lights radio, amp, ect... on. search the forums for the same problem. i found a detailed instruction on how to reset it using a paperclip as a jumper and it hasent come back on. if theres a problem with your srs system and not just a fluke, it will come right back on after reset.
