this is the 411

the car is a 95 civic lx thats been sitting for about 4 months maybe less. i started it about 4 months ago and it started fine. someone say that they wanted it but lagged. i was paticent with him but he got another car and gave me back the key yesterday. now the car wont start no click nothing. put the jumper on then i realized the fog lights were on. turn them off and tried to starting it. the starter went crazy. its like two peices of metal hitting each other really fast. i dont know whats wrong. so is it the starter?

please help

Starter is fine.....your problem is a bad connection on the battery. That's why it sounds like that when you put a heavy load on the battery (by tryiny to turn over the engine).

Just clean your battery terminals and connections, then use a jumper again since your battery is most likely very low. BTW, when you jumpstart a car, always place the negative jumper on the body or frame of the car away from the battery. I've seen someone have the battery blow up because he had both jumpers on the battery terminals and one of them threw a spark.
