Starting problem, new dist, no spark?

We got a new main relay today. It did no good.

Also, the dist spins and so the timing belt isn't jacked either. Like, we left the casing off and watched it.

We checked for spark at the wires actually. Just won't happen.

We checked fuses, the ecu fuse is the hazard fuse right?
All fuses seemed fine either way.

Ill check the thermostat ground... See where that goes.
Click the Check Spark link in my signature. Use that method.

DOES THE FUEL PUMP PRIME. Sorry for the all red caps, just trying to get your attention because you have avoided answering this key question.

Got mine going, the clutch switch wasn't making contact when the pedal was pushed in.

Hey sorry I have been juggling this topic on 3 or 4 forums. Yes the fuel pump is priming, but its very quiet.

I had to lift the backseat up in order to hear it.

Sorry for the late answer. :P

If the fuel pump primes, the thermostat ground is fine.

Check whether the Blk/Yel wire attached to the coil and igniter unit gets battery voltage with the key in ON(II). If so, resistance test the coil and have the igniter unit tested at an auto parts store.

Hey RonJ. I tested the black/yellow wire on the dist today.
I did get good current.

Now, I have to check the ohm stuff and send that piece in as well.

Oh hey guys, what does the blue wire to the dist. do?

Blue wire sends tach signal from igniter unit to the dash tach.

Mmk.

Also to test voltage at a spark plug wire... Just curious, could we use one of those LED voltage lights to see if it's getting a spark? Or would it burn that little light out?

Just to be absolutely sure it's not getting a spark(as the issue).
I'd grab the wire if I were more brave...

You can use a spark tester, but the caveman method at the Spark link in my signature works just fine. You just need a good, properly gapped spark plug.
