Starting problems after being idle 4 or 5 days
Mother in law has an 06 civic lx. She doesn't drive oftenso the car is garaged for a few days before the next time she drives. She has complained that the car doesn't start after being idle for a few days. AAA comes and gives her a jump and all is fine until the next time she wants to drive. The car has recently been to the dealer who has claimed that an electrical systems check showed nothing. I am thinking that she has a bum battery! Any other ideas?
check the battery on the positive clamp, my car wouldnt start because there was so much corrosion underneath the red rubber part that couldnt be seen, until you peeled it back
cranks fine.............. mother in law has reported that she is starting car on a daily schedule now and is having no trouble with starting. Shouldn't the car be able to sit idle for an extended period without having to be started?
