Wheels locked after not being started for 4 months
My friend moved and left her civic (4-dr sedan, I think it's a 2002) here in March. It was not started or moved again until three days ago (I know, I know, but she didn't leave the car with me, I'm just trying to help fix this mess). The car started fine but the car won't move. The back wheels won't turn and the only way it moves is if the car slides. I think the hand break may be stuck because even though the handle releases, there's no tension in it. Does anyone know what's wrong and is there something I can do myself to fix it?

jack up the back end and make sure it is securely supported on jackstands (NOT just the jack to change tires). Remove the rear wheels and use a hammer to give the brakedrums afew good hard shots. This SHOULD break them loose. Chances are there is rust/corrosion that has gotten everything nice and stuck.
