Ok so i got into my car this morning and my car wouldnt start, but when i turn it nothing happens at all the even the lights like the battery and oil and check engine dont come on. But i do have a remote start and it turns on when i use that but i stll cant go because when i push the break to put it in drive (with the key in, and in the on position) it still turns off as if the key isnt in the ignition, i finnally realized that most of the autozone losers actually dont know what they are talking about do you guys have any insight?
oh and when i turn the key it doesnt click or anything, its just silence

Sounds like your key switch is broken. Does the wheel unlock when you turn the key? I think you can take column covers off, take the switch assembly off of the key rotor part and turn the switch manually. Of course you have to be sure the steering is unlocked to drive.

so is the key switch and the lock cylinder the same thing? andthe steering wheel is unlocked because i can use the remote start to turn it on, so that unlocks it........and gacyota how difficult is it toreplace one of those anddoes it come with instructions?

Ok it looks like the first picture explained everything, the second and third got confusing and i didnt even see the switch in them, wat are they for?
right now my car is stuck at disney world and i would lkie to get it home so if i got it turnedon and got it home, would i be able to turn it off to replace the switch?
